Hey Everyone,
Wasn't it great to see the sun out today? I was over at Chris' place this morning to watch the Final Round of the Austrailian Open and we both couldn't believe how nice it was out. It had been awhile since the sun was last seen. The tennis match was great, as Novak Djokovic pulled out the win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in four sets. Hank came over too and I think both he and Chris wanted to see Tsonga pull the upset. It was a good thing it ended in four sets, we had to leave for practice right after the win. Practice went well, we were in a small gym that had a terrible floor, but we made the best of it. Coach was working me and King out in the post today, I think he was a little worried with all the shots we missed the last couple of games. Basketball is a game of ups and down and I think we both hit a down part at the same time. Im confident we'll both be ready to get after come Tuesday. We were also really working on getting back in transition defense. Coach said if we gave up any points in the paint, on a break ,we would have to run a "suicide" for every point given up. It's amazing how the threat of running lines can motivate you to get back on D. It worked though, only two layups were given up all practice. We just need to get to the point where we don't need to have that motivation to get back on D. We got some shots up too, and finished off with some stretching. We'll hit the weight room tomorrow morning, watch some film of our last game, then have another great practice to get ready for Solna.
This is gonna be my last blog for the week. I just wanna say thanks to everyone who took the time to check it out. I appriciate all your comments and just want to let you know that Im really enjoying myself here in Boras. Everyone here has been really nice and the club has been really professional in every aspect. I hope that we can work things out so that I can come back next year. Thanks for your support at all our games too, you guys have been great. I think that we haven't yet begun to reach our potential as a team. Which is good, you don't want to peak too early.
Take care, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the season.
Ryan
