Important Win for Borås Basket

Borås Basket beats Solna Vikings 92 to 81

The sunday match between Borås basket and the Solna Vikings resulted in a huge win for Borås, boosting them to third place in the national rankings.  The game was well played as a team; everyone contributed in their own way.  Ryan McDade, the teams starting power forward,  had an exceptional game.  One could never tell McDade was slightly stomach sick judging from the 25 points scored and 17 rebounds. Point guard, Dennis Springs and shooting guard, Henrik Carlsson had solid games.  For rookie Mikko Riipinen, it was an especially important game marking the first field goal of his career in the Swedish basketball league.  The match was high intensity from beginning to end.  In the first half, the two teams were neck and neck all the way until halftime.  The second half was kicked off by an impressive alley-hoop dunk by McDade which motivated the team to pull together and control the lead for the remainder of the game.
